THE SESSION
This week's RAP ACTIVITY was once again jostled into a busy showdown of skills, beautifully coaxed in neat creative impulses and spun in persuasive adventures.
The first to sketch in full armour was KARNIVORE, the real black man surveying the Holy Scripture, extracting stories and relating his understanding of them with sincerity.
Story telling in a much stronger voice of sociopolitical implications and the anger of what has happened in the past, characterizes SOCIAL PANIC’s lyrical lines. SOCIAL PANIC is bitter about what happened in the past.
VITAL ATTACK knew which to make permanent and which to leave ephemeral. This man is in a league of his own, staying true to himself despite the pressures from the previous acts. Hey! Here we talking skills, punch lines and a tight flow of lyrics.
FERNANDO was laying bare the modern exploits of his native language, PORTUGUESE, pulling from under one's feet, the magic carpet hackneyed with beliefs of one particular language, in this case ENGLISH and clearly this week's winner.

This Week's Winner – Fernando

FERNANDO
‘ Mais de 5 anos la na mate nao viram nada’
    A QUICK 1 2 1 WITH THE WINNER
  • Q: How do you feel about winning?
A: It’s a pleasure for me to win, where I’m from there are no opportunities like this. What is happening here is not happening in ANGOLA. This is a great opportunity.
  • Q: What is your next plan?
A: I want to stay around and listen to other rappers before I report back home in ANGOLA

The Runners-Up

KARNIVORE
‘Press record and rewind ‘cause I sound nice when I’m played twice’

SOCIAL PANIC
‘ We got no silence on my block they shot a girl’

VITAL ATTACK
‘Nothing to structurise just punching the lines’
