THE SESSION
RAP ACTIVITY this week was so constructed that talent was sufficiently woven and applied profusely. Stoking their own legitimacy were STAN-MAN, EASTRAND OCCASTRATORS, BANGO and THE ORACLE who endorsed the rumblings of a tight RAP ACTIVITY.

Drawing first blood was STAN-MAN, a BOSTMONT cat with a sick slick flow warning would – be– detractors to slow their row, snakes and fakes in his face to know what to expect from purveying their cunning ways. STAN-MAN fought gallantly throughout the activity but was palmed back out of play with every mc stepping to grab the mic. EASTRAND OCCASTRATORS opened their mental windows, extracted respiration of their intelligence and pushed battling premises to extinction. They dropped punch lines and resuscitated the maxims of blood curdling battle lines, the penchant for many mc's who are still observing this drab doctrine. BANGO was on a RAGGA tip mixing PORTUGUESSE with his native ANGOLAN language KIMBUNDU, which came out of the woods to break the ENGLISH jinx. The last act to grab the mic were THE ORACLE. The instrument of divine service, two AFRICAN ladies musing about black consciousness from a RASTAFARIAN perspective whilst maintaining a rosy hue. THE ORACLES are the winners of this week's RAP ACTIVITY lyrical battle.

  • How you feel about winning?
we feel great especially as ladies we had to show guys that we are capable. We had to let them know what time it is. In essence this was a wake up call.

  • Tell us your ambitions about hip-hop?
To go far with hip-hop and preach the positive message. We want to go out and uplift the sisters, to encourage them to be proud of their origin, to live positive and to grow in the vision.
