[bigleftoutside] Exit Polls! (Big Left Outside Subscriber Memo)

Dear Colleagues,

Exit poll numbers, below!

Due to Internet problems that I don't pretend to understand on this mother
of days, I am unable to upload right now to Big, Left, Outside.

Here is where your free subscription is worth more than you paid for it!

(And for those of you who have dropped a coin or two into the tip jar,
this is especially for you.)

Did I mention that swing state exit poll data is posted below?

But first…

This tale is is too funny not to let you know what's up.

I'm all for publishing exit poll data. I believe that all the people have
a right to know what media and political insiders know, as fast as they
know it.

But what kind of moron posts false exit poll data… in such a way that
guarantees that she gets caught?

K. Lopez over at conservative, pro-Bush, National Review, that's who!

At 1:33 p.m. K-Lo posted to the mag's blog:

“Bush leads ohio 49 to 41.”

Hmmmm. Add it up. 49 + 41 = 90.

Not 100, but 90?

Some exit poll!

(For a moment I had to wonder if the other ten percent represented a Nader
surge! But Nader isn't on the ballot in Ohio.)

There is no such thing as an “exit poll” that adds up to only 90 points in
a two way race. Duh.

Still, that didn't stop the freepers and right wing bloggers from going
nuts over it.

Well, well, well… K-Lo, caught in “exit poll fraud,” has now had to,
ahem, correct herself. She erased the previous dishonest blog entry and
has replaced it with the following:

“Kerry +4 in Ohio, I'm hearing from good multiple sources. I'd nix the
earlier report.

“MESSAGE: GET OUT THE W VOTE IN OHIO.”

Idiot.

But this is the kind of shit being attempted all over the place today…
False accusations of voting machine irregularities in black (and blue)
Philadelphia, now debunked… Massive voter suppression efforts in Florida
and Ohio against blacks and young voters… And disinformation all over
the place.

What does it all mean?

They're desperate. It's happening folks, just as we said it would: Ohio is
going blue (watch Florida, and, surprise, surprise, Colorado and Virginia,
too!) and Dubya is going down.

EXIT POLL UPDATE:

Here are the early exit poll numbers, courtesy of Kos. Looking good…

State AZ CO LA PA OH FL MI NM MN WI IA NH
Kerry 45 48 42 60 52 51 51 50 58 52 49 57
Bush 55 51 57 40 48 48 47 48 40 43 49 41

There it is. Pull 18-29ers (2 to 1 for Kerry) to the polls. Let's make
this a mandate.

from somewhere in a country called América,

Al
