Dear Friends:
The Western media’s fixation on the plight of foreign nationals escaping Lebanon, and on the Israeli targeting of UN personnel, serves to mask the stark fact that Israel’s generals have declared everything and everyone in Lebanon a target, and claim the right to impose, in Gaza and in Lebanon, their version of Lidice, Dresden, and Hiroshima. It is the duty of international solidarity to defend the people of Lebanon and Palestine.

Adel recognizes the potential change in the political balance of forces brought about by the steadfastness of the Lebanese resistance led by Hizbullah, against which are arrayed all the governments, but which enjoys the esteem, the sympathy, and the solidarity of many millions of people. Adel takes us forward with an outline, in broad strokes, of the tasks facing the popular classes who can and must prepare to impose their own solutions.
