Who will stop the GENOCIDE OF THE IRAQI PEOPLE BY THE US-UK TERRORISTS?

Pressed by their leaders, hundreds of thousands of Kurds from Iraq, but also from Syria, Iran and Turkey are settling in Kerkuk (…) The aim: to modify the ethnic composition of the city before the referendum that is supposed to be held before the end of 2007. Since 10th April 2003 – the day after the fall of Baghdad – a real Kurdish invasion took place in Kerkuk: Massoud Barzani and Jalal Talabani, respectively leaders of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) organized militarily a massive immigration of Kurds to the territories they wanted to conquer. The newly arrived Kurds registered on the election lists and are waiting for the referendum which is to take place before next December 31st. The aim of the operation: to give a democratic varnish to the annexation of Kerkuk and its surrounding region by the Kurds and hand over to the Americans the petrol fields of Baba Gurgur, situated near Kerkuk…

U.S. Contractors in Iraq Rely on Third-World Labor
Guy Raz, # NPR
If you thought all contractors in Iraq were gun-toting American mercenaries, think again. Only a fraction of the estimated 180,000 contractors working on behalf of the U.S. government are security contractors — and the overwhelming majority aren’t even from the U.S. Consider Salim Khan, a dishwasher at a forward operating base in the volatile Iraqi province of Diyala. For about $1.25 an hour, the Pakistan native will work two years for a Saudi-based food-services firm, Tamimi. Tamimi is a subcontractor to KBR, which itself was, until recently, a subsidiary of Halliburton, the mega-corporation that has won most of the big money contracts in Iraq. Across the heavily fortified American bases in Iraq, men and women like Salim Khan cook the food, clean the dishes, chop the vegetables, take out the garbage and clean the latrines…

Who’s behind the Armenian genocide resolution?
Xymphora
Who’s behind the Armenian genocide resolution? Its pretty simple, isn’t it? It is the timing that is odd, so the timing should tell us something. Why stir up this issue and cause problems with Turkish-American relations at this particular time, when Iraq is a mess and the Kurds are making the Turks very nervous? The keystone to the Zionist Plan for the Middle East is breaking Iraq into three parts. The rupture was supposed to occur almost immediately after the American attack. Since that didn’t happen, the ‘surge’ was created to cause massive additional violence with the idea that the country couldn’t hold together under the strain (…) The resolution has so enraged the Turks that it is the Zionist hope that the State Department will no longer be able to stop the Turks from attacking. Putting Kurdistan into play is intended to cause Iraq to fall apart…

It’s insanity, stupid! – Al Gore and that Nobel Peace Prize
Gabriele Zamparini, The Cat’s Dream
The Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore opened a heated debate: was it right to award a mass murderer and war criminal? This is a curious question that certainly would have a meaning in a sane world, certainly not in ours. A few days ago, commenting on this blog about this ordinary episode of folly, I wrote that Al Gore was “(…) a top war criminal that in a sane world would be hanged or imprisoned for life. But we are not living in a sane world – just in case someone wonders – and it’s not the first time that a war criminal and mass murderer has been rewarded with the Nobel Peace Prize.” On CounterPunch, Alexander Cockburn wrote, “When Gore goes to get the prize [… he] should be forced to march through a gauntlet of widows and orphans, Serbs, Iraqis, Palestinians, Colombians, and other victims of the Clinton era.”….

The Israeli Ministry of Interior said the women are “citizens of Israel” and therefore not allowed to travel to Syria as it is an “enemy country”. However, the women could apply on an individual basis for a permit to travel to Syria, although this process can take months, a spokeswoman said….
