WHAT THE AMERICANS DO NOT KNOW
Ibrahim Ebeid, Al-Moharer
The aggression against the Palestinians is widening and the United States of America is taking an active role in it. The country of “Justice for All” and its allies are maintaining a deadly blockade against the people of Palestine. Medicine, food and water are not available and the Palestinian children, like their young brethren in Iraq, are suffering the most. Hospitals and medical centers are not operating to an acceptable standard because of lack of medicine, water and electricity. A friend of mine died at a barricade, he was gravely ill, and he was not allowed to cross to the hospital which was a couple of miles away. He was neither the first nor the last to die at the crossings or barricades. American taxpayer money is supplied to the Zionist terrorists to maintain this racist entity and to build settlements on Palestinian confiscated lands. American guns and bombs are killing Palestinians every day and in every spot of occupied Palestine (…)The United States never blamed the racist state for the atrocities that it is committing against the Palestinians or Lebanese. American occupation forces in Iraq are taking an active part in terrorizing the Palestinians. The US occupation forces stormed the Palestinian refugee residential compounds in Hay al Baladiyat in Baghdad (…) Last month the “Death Squads” of the sectarian regime, allied with the United States, attacked the same compound under the eyes of the occupation forces and no effort was done to stop the terror and the sectarian terrorists. Palestinians in Baghdad al Jadidah were not spared either, they were also attacked, some were beaten and suffered broken bones and bruises, and all were stripped from their outer clothes and arrested. Every one was asked whether he or she was a Sunni or Shii, this was defiantly a racist interrogation intended to stir up sectarianism. The Mahdi Army of Moqtada Al Sadr and the Badr brigades are engaged in a systematic campaign against the Palestinians to evict them from their homes and expel them out of Iraq, to no man’s land…

Iraqi Ministry of Health stealing Sunni’s dead bodies
Roads to Iraq
This is the connection with today’s story: Iraq’s deputy health minister kidnapped from home. Palestinians blocked Israeli air raid? No way!
Sabbah’s blog
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed that the raid had been called off because of the protest. “The attack plan was canceled because of the people there. We differentiate between innocent people and terrorists,” he said. [Aljazeera] No they did not! The Palestinians could not be the reason or the force to block the the terrorist army of Israel if they wanted to carry on the raid. Do you want to tell me that they didn’t kill innocent civilians before? How graceful they are. Who killed the Beit Hanoun sleeping families? Who killed Huda’s family? Who killed prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque?…

Bush: I would understand if Israel chose to attack Iran
Yossi Verter, Haaretz Correspondent
The United States lacks sufficient intelligence on Iran’s nuclear facilities at this time, which prevents it from initiating a military strike against them, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has told European politicians and diplomats with whom she has recently met. Rice mentioned three reasons why the United States is currently unable to carry out a military operation against Iran: the wish to solve the crisis through peaceful means; concern that a military strike will be ineffective – that it would fail to completely destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities; and the lack of precise intelligence on the targets’ locations…

Rice Urges Iraq to be more like Vietnam
Palestinian Pundit
AP says that Secretary of State Condi Rice asserted Saturday that Iraqis only have a future if they stay within a single state. She pointed to Vietnam’s success in reforming its economy and making up with the United States and held it out as a model to Iraq. Whaaat? Rice surely knows that the way in which Vietnam achieved national unity was . . . for the radical forces to drive out the Americans, overthrow pro-American elements, and conquer the whole country. (…) Do you hear this Iraqis? Even the Princess of Darkness gets it now; listen to her and do what she tells you. Here is the plan, which Rice knows that it works. First, all of you Iraqis from North, Middle and South do as the North and South Vietnamese did: Unite. Next, take up arms against the aggressors and their quisling and not against each other. Finally, and after you kick out the occupying American forces, unify the country and make it stronger. It works, just trust Dr. Rice; for once she is right!…

KILLING CIVILIANS IN PALESTINE IS NOT AN ETHICAL PROBLEM
Desert Peace
A Rabbi is supposed to be a teacher. A teacher is supposed to be educated. Some teachers are morons as are some Rabbis. In the name of the Torah or the Talmud they give the impression at times that they actually know what they are saying… this is definitely not the case. Both of the Books I mentioned teach love and tolerance… where an interpretation of hate and war comes from is beyond my understanding. Many Jews think that the words of a Rabbi should be taken as ‘Gospel’, others think those words are actually utter nonsense.
One problem in Israel is that there is not a separation of Church and State… opening the door for these moronic Rabbis to dabble in the political arena. Every so often (at least daily) they expose their stupidity and arrogance, today was no different… Following is an excerp from Israel’s extreme right ‘news source’, Arutz Sheva… just one example of what I’m talking about..
“The attack plan was canceled because of the people there,” an IDF spokesman said. “We differentiate between innocent people and terrorists.” Rabbi Zalman Melamed, however, says that there were no innocent people there to be differentiated. “We must do whatever we can to prevent hits on our citizens,” he told Arutz-7 today. “From an ethical point of view, there would have been no problem to hit the building, even with all the people there…

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Sunday, 19 November 2006
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board, the Free Arab Voice
In a dispatch posted at 12:23pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad accused the city puppet police – an organization formed by the so-called al-Anbar Rescue Council in cooperation with the American occupation forces – of killing a local resident and mutilating his body in the al-Jam’iyah neighborhood of central ar-Ramadi. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet police raided the neighborhood on Saturday night along with a detachment of American occupation troops. They arrested seven local people in their homes on the pretext that they were members of the al-Qa’idah Resistance organization. The body of one of the abducted men was later found dead in the middle of the street badly mutilated…

Inside the Islamic Army of Iraq
Hoda Abdel-Hamid, aljazeera.net
…Ibrahim al-Shamary, a spokesman for the Islamic army in Iraq, told Al Jazeera in an exclusive interview: “There are two occupations in Iraq. Iran on one side through the militias which they control and through direct involvement with the national guard and the intelligence services, that causes the killing and destruction of the Sunnis. “And then there is the American occupation which destroys the Iraqi people.”…

Iraqi government’s recent actions anger Sunnis, endangering reconciliation
Bassem Mroue, ASSOCIATED PRESS
Iraq’s Shiite-led government has deeply undercut its promises to work toward sectarian reconciliation with a series of recent measures that prompted Sunni threats to leave the government and take up arms. The government’s actions – and the Sunni response – have dimmed hopes for a national reconciliation to keep Iraq’s vicious sectarian violence from erupting into an all-out civil war. Sunnis say Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s government is not serious about disbanding Shiite militias, has done nothing about creating a more fair division of power and is balking at legislation that would divide the country’s oil wealth equitably among all regions…

GI Special 4K18: “We All Want To Get Out Of Here” – November 18, 2006
Thomas F. Barton
As the death toll among American troops has risen in Baghdad, and the security plan has faltered, Captain Bagley’s soldiers say they have tried to resist the urge to question the larger American enterprise here, whether it was right or wrong to come to Iraq in the first place, whether and when American troops should leave. They are here to do a job, they say, and are duty-bound to complete it. And what they have to say when this reporter isn’t around, he will never know. But it goes far beyond “trying to resist the urge.” (…)

Iraq’s deputy health minister kidnapped from home
CNN
At least 24 gunmen — some dressed as national police — stormed the house of Iraq’s deputy health minister, Ammar al-Saffar, on Sunday and abducted him, a Baghdad emergency police official told CNN. The kidnapping came as U.S.-led coalition and Iraqi forces continued searching for five Western security contractors seized in southern Iraq Thursday, as well as hostages taken in a mass kidnapping at a Baghdad research institute earlier last week. The kidnapping of al-Saffar happened about 5:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. ET) in the northern Baghdad neighborhood of Adhamiya, a predominantly Sunni neighborhood, the official said…

IOF spokesman: Human chain blocked our shelling of Palestinian home
palestine-info.co.uk
An IOF spokesman on Sunday admitted that the Palestinian human chain led by Hamas political leader Sheikh Nizar Rayyan at a late hour Saturday, which extended into the early hours on Sunday, prevented the IOF warplanes from flattening the house of Mohammed Baroud, one of the commanders of the popular resistance committees’ armed wing. The Hebrew radio quoted the spokesman as saying that hundreds of Palestinians gathered over and round the house in Jabalia refugee camp last night that compelled the air force to abandon the mission…

Is Depleted Uranium the suspect behind Military Suicides?
Greg Mitchell, Globalresearch
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has become an epidemic amongst soldiers/sailors serving and veterans who have returned from the war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. The reasons are being depicted as purely psychological, but this seems to be very misleading. The general public in the United States, Britain, and the rest of the world, including much of the Arab World, are unaware of one of the greatest war crimes and criminal acts against humanity that has been unfolding since the Gulf War from the Balkans to the Middle East and Afghanistan. Depleted uranium has been used for military use from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia to the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan…

Kissinger: Iraq Military Win Impossible
TARIQ PANJA, Associated Press Writer
Military victory is no longer possible in Iraq, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in a television interview broadcast Sunday. Kissinger presented a bleak vision of Iraq, saying the U.S. government must enter into dialogue with Iraq’s regional neighbors – including Iran – if progress is to be made in the region. ``If you mean by ‘military victory’ an Iraqi government that can be established and whose writ runs across the whole country, that gets the civil war under control and sectarian violence under control in a time period that the political processes of the democracies will support, I don’t believe that is possible,’’ he told the British Broadcasting Corp…

May I Quote You, Mr. President?
A selection of 50 quotes from President George W. Bush, for entertainment or meditation
Prof. Rodrigue Tremblay, Global Research
…20-”Iraq and Afghanistan …are now democracies and they are allies in the cause of freedom and peace.” 21-”Ariel Sharon … is a man of courage and a man of peace.” 22-”See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.” 23-”I just want you to know that, when we talk about war, we’re really talking about peace.” 24-”This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous. And having said that, all options are on the table.” 25-”Free nations don’t develop weapons of mass destruction.” 26- “Governments accountable to the voters focus on building roads and schools—not weapons of mass destruction.” (N.B.: The U.S. has 10,000 nuclear weapons)…

Enemy to 9/10ths of Humanity Dies
Stephen Gowans
Milton Friedman, who was instrumental in providing the intellectual justification capitalist classes needed to claw-back the reforms they had conceded to labor in the post-WWII period, has died. Friedman’s neoliberalism – the idea that enterprises and markets must be free, and if they’re not, governments must intervene to make them so — has two bookends. The first is Chile, following the other 9/11 – September 11, 1973. That was the date Augusto Pinochet, backed by US companies, the CIA and Henry Kissinger, overthrew the leftist government of Salvador Allende (…) Thirty years later neo-liberalism was brought to Iraq, also by the gun. On September 19, 2003, Paul Bremer, the US proconsul in Iraq, imposed Friedman’s ideas on a country that had been brought under US suzerainty by force. Bremer defined a bill of rights for foreign capital, including the right: to buy Iraq’s public enterprises; to own Iraqi businesses; to repatriate profits; to own Iraqi banks; to be free from barriers to trade and investment; and to pay little tax. To ensure foreign capital would also have the right to cheap labor, Bremer banned strikes in key sectors and severely restricted unionization…

Criminalizing Compassion in the “War on Terror”
Katherine Hughes
Since the events of 9/11, the government has implemented powerful new prosecutorial tools to gain convictions in its War on Terror. In an article entitled, “Terrorist Financing,” Jeff Breinholt, Deputy Chief of the Department of Justice’s Counterterrorism Section, explains these tools and how they are being used to win convictions. On page thirty-one of the article, he lists the statutes being used in the criminal prosecution of terrorist financing and among these statutes is the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), which Breinholt also labels as “United States economic sanctions.”[4] IEEPA provides the President of the United States with authority to deal with any “unusual and extraordinary threat” that has its source in whole or substantial part outside the United States; this includes threat to “national security, foreign policy, and the economy.”…
