US Officers planned the Beit Hanoun Massacre
Sabbah’s blog
WARNING: The article contains very disturbing pictures… Pictures that are not of the type you will see on TV or your local newspaper, trust me. In fact, Israel will pay anything for such pictures not to be published. If you have weak heart, STOP HERE!
If you find the images in this article revolting, like me, think of the following: people everywhere in Palestine see such images on a daily basis not as pictures but live and anywhere they go, and that this genocide is supported equally by ALL western countries, the EU and the UN. If you live in any “western” country, your taxes are very probably financing what you see here. Speak with your politicians if you do not like what you see. When the the psychopaths and moral degenerates who commit these acts with the help of your governments stop commiting them, I (and others) will stop publishing these images…

Roads to Iraq
How true is the telegraph report about “Abu Deraa”, is he a murder as the report said? He was interviewed by “Elaph” [I lost the link to Elaph article, but the same article was published on Kuwaiti newspaper “alqabas”]. Abu-Deraa, after the attack of US forces on Sadr-City, trying to arrest him, one of his sons was transported to the hospital and his arm was amputated, the second son was arrested later while he was visiting his brother in the hospital. He says: I am the first to fight the “Death Squads”, the gangs of murder and kidnapping, formed by the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, Paul Bremer. But Iraqirabita managed to release a video of the last hours of Khamis al-Obeidi before he was shot dead. Watch the video here. The video reveals much more than this: You will see a man using a telephone; he starts a conversation calling somebody with his official title; “Officer Hazim” [which reveals Iraqi police and Iraqi government connection to the assassination]. By the way; the man who talks in the telephone is Abu Deraa’s son who was arrested later by the Americans. There voices of at least 3-4 men and two women, in the conversation with al-Obeidi they promised him they get him back home, you can notice that he was tortured also…

Rumsfeld’s long walk into Political Oblivion
Mike Whitney
…For people like Rumsfeld, violence and deception are the natural corollaries of their distorted views; they become an end in themselves. That is not only tragic, but it also ensures failure. According to the recently released Lancet report, over 650,000 Iraqis have been killed in the conflict so far. This proves that Rumsfeld didn’t know what he was doing so he simply ratcheted up the violence to conceal his ignorance. He had no plan for occupation, reconstruction, security, or victory. The whole thing was a sham predicated on his unflagging belief in over-whelming force. The outcome was not only predictable; it was predicted! Now, the country in a shambles, the society is irretrievably ripped apart, and the entire project is in ruins…

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Monday, 13 November 2006
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board, the Free Arab Voice
In a dispatch posted at 10:59pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at thathour an American tank was shooting at houses of civilian residents in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad. US tanks shelled the house of a local family in the city a short while before the correspondent filed his report. Eyewitnesses said that attack on the house, located in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood, had totally destroyed the structure and killed all the members of a family of 11 persons. Preliminary indications were that no one had survived the American attack on the private home because of the intense nature of the American bombardment on the residential area, ambulances were unable to get through to evacuate the dead and tend to any survivors in the area…

Death Sentence for Saddam Hussein a Symbol that Americans Lost Iraq War
An Interview with Abbas Khalaf Kunfud
Nargiz Asadova
Former Iraqi Ambassador to Russia Abbas Khalaf Kunfud, who served from 2002 to 2003, comments on the possible consequences of the punishment of Saddam Hussein in an interview with Vlast magazine columnist Nargiz Asadova. … It is an American court, not an Iraqi court, and it bows to American orders. And they couldn’t prove that Saddam was a participant in any crimes. They found nothing but mass graves. And they began a trial in the case of mass murder in the village of ad-Dujail in 1982. But the fact of the matter is that it concerned an assassination attempt on Saddam. And any president in any country can take such measures against enemies who carry out such an act against him (…) The civil war that is currently going on in Iraq is the work of the Americans and the current Iraqi government. The Shiites and Sunnis have gone many long years without fighting each other. Why have they suddenly started fighting? This is one of the “achievements” of the new government…It is the Americans who divided Iraq along nation and religious lines. Under Saddam, an understanding of the “Iraqi people” existed…

SORRY WE KILLED YOU IN YOUR SLEEP…WE’LL WAKE YOU NEXT TIME
Desert Peace
“ First of all, I would like to apologize for the tragedy of Beit Hanoun. I want the Palestinians to know that this is not our policy; it is not our goal to harm Palestinians or cause such tragedies to innocent people…” The above is part of a reply in an interview between Olmert and a local Palestinian newspaper, Al Quds. APOLOGISE????? For killing innocent civilians in their sleep…
“This is not our policy…” Since when? Is this interview a political ‘drama’ for the benefit of the American public? Surely he knows that the Palestinians won’t swallow that line of bull. Can we call this ‘diplomacy’?… Saying what the Americans want to hear and not caring about reality…Reality being the systematic destruction of an entire people.. Reality being cutting off an entire people from the rest of the world.. Reality being denying an entire people to proper health care and educational facilities…THESE, IN REALITY, ARE THE OFFICIAL POLICIES… BUT… Americans don’t want to hear that… Americans want to believe that their government is supporting a truly just and democratic nation.. Well guess what America… that’s not what’s happening…

War, pollution endangering Iraq river
BUSHRA JUHI, ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER
For 6,000 years, the river that flows through the heart of Baghdad nurtured the people who live along its banks – providing water, food, transport and recreation. But three years of war, plus pollution and politics, have transformed the storied Tigris into a stagnant sewer – and increasingly, into a graveyard for the victims of civil conflict. Some see it as a metaphor for this troubled country, reeling after years of war, deprivation and misrule. Police now routinely haul from the Tigris the bodies of victims of sectarian death squads. The bodies of 15 unidentified torture victims were found floating on a single recent day in the Tigris in Suwayrah, 25 miles south of Baghdad, said police Lt. Mohammed al-Shamari…

Desperate Neocons, More Dangerous than Ever
Kurt Nimmo
Fresh from his embarrassment at the hands of Vanity Fair, the Prince of Darkness, known in polite circles as Richard Perle, is now screaming at the rafters for the decimation of Iran, an act long overdue, according to the perfidious neocons. “Leading neocon Richard Perle, who led the intellectual charge for the ill-fated invasion of Iraq, believes two B-2 bombers, each with 16 independently targeted weapons systems, could punch out Iran’s nuclear lights,” writes Arnaud de Borchgrave, the former editor-in-chief of the Moonie-based Washington Times, currently editor-at-large for the United Press International…

Where are you Arabs?
Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban
“Where are you Arabs?” was the scream of a woman who crept among others to release the Palestinian youths detained by Israeli oppression machine. Those women succeeded to release the detained youths before the Israeli troops demolish the mosque. Observing those women, one could not help wondering: how facing such a racist occupation, which is waging a war of genocide against an original people, was left for those women? Ironically, the United States, who wages another war of genocide against Iraqi people, refused to admit that the Israeli actions against Palestinians are acts of genocide, as if US has the moral authority to pass judgments, especially if the criminals were Israeli and the victims were Arabs…

FLASHBACK: With Hand on Heart: Pelosi Admits Israel Comes First
Joshua Frank
I think it is finally time we stood up and thanked Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the darling Democrat from the Bay Area who leads her party in the House. Pelosi’s recent speech to the Israel-American lobby AIPAC, the second largest lobby in Washington, was monumental – truly unparalleled in its candor. Despite the fact that AIPAC was recently busted for spying on the United States, Pelosi, along with many other top bureaucrats from Washington, gushed effusions of praise on the foreign power. “There are those who contend that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is all about Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza,” Pelosi said as she rallied AIPAC loyalists. “This is absolute nonsense. In truth, the history of the conflict is not over occupation, and never has been: it is over the fundamental right of Israel to exist.”…

AUDIO: Richard Perle Insists That Saddam Had Ties To Al Qaeda Because He’s ‘Seen The Evidence’
Think Progress
Yesterday, in an interview with NPR, Richard Perle, a prominent neoconservative and leading proponent for the war in Iraq, insisted that Saddam Hussein had ties to al Qaeda. He stated that anyone who believes otherwise is “simply wrong” because he’s “seen the evidence.” But the report by the Senate Intelligence Committee in September concluded that there was no relationship between Saddam and al Qaeda: Postwar findings indicate that Saddam Hussein was distrustful of al-Qa’ida and viewed Islamic extremists as a threat to his regime, refusing all requests from al Qa’ida to provide material or operational support. Debriefings of key leaders of the former Iraqi regime indicate that Saddam distrusted Islamic radicals in general, and al Qa’ida in particular…

Fuel shortages worsen in Baghdad
Azzaman
Iraq’s fuel crisis is worsening with filling stations running short of gasoline, kerosene and cooking gas. Long queues of cars stand at filling stations in Baghdad with drivers openly venting their wrath at the country’s leaders for failing to meet urgent needs. Iraq was self-sufficient with fuel before the U.S. invasion but has since been facing severe shortages despite having the third largest oil reserves worldwide. Government ministries are blaming each other for the crisis. The Ministry of Oil says power cuts are leading to fuel shortages while the Ministry of Electricity says fuel shortages are leading to power failures…

No Exit Strategy
Ray McGovern
President George W. Bush meets today with members of the James Baker-led Iraq Study Group against a background of chaos in Baghdad, a quisling Iraqi government demonstrably incapable of stemming the violence, and a resistance emboldened by the vote of no confidence given to the president’s Iraq policy last Tuesday. The Iraq Study Group project was forced on a reluctant president by members of Congress last March, with Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., pushing the initiative. I had a brief conversation with Wolf in front of the House Rayburn office building in March. He had been to Iraq and echoed the party line that “We cannot withdraw our troops quickly”—but it seemed to me, without whole-hearted conviction. I had the impression that, even then, he sensed that neither could we stay…

GI Special 4K13: “A Lot Of Opposition Among Soldiers” – November 13, 2006
Thomas F. Barton
Lots of people are asking what’s the difference between today and Vietnam? Why isn’t there a movement today? One possible answer is that the movement within the military is not quite congealed yet, but that the potential is there.
I’ve talked to a few soldiers back from Iraq, one a Holy Cross College student who graduated in Spring 2002, who was an ROTC cadet who is back from Iraq and has spoken after showings of Sir No Sir! and likewise didn’t know about the GI antiwar movement during Vietnam.
She reports that there is a lot of opposition to the US occupation of Iraq among US soldiers in Iraq but it doesn’t express itself because there’s no organization, no organized communication between people.

No Arab, Palestinian Cheers Yet for U.S. Democrats
Nicola Nasser
Arabs, at least at the non-official level, were quick to hail President George W. Bush’s mid-term electoral defeat and the humiliating downfall of his war architect Donald Rumsfeld, but cheering the Democrats’ victory has yet to wait and may not be voiced at all. Why hailing Bush’s defeat? Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist, Jim Hogland, of The Washington Post had part of the answer: “Bush lost more than a midterm election and a cantankerous defense secretary on Tuesday. He also abandoned any lingering chance of remaking U.S. foreign policy into a radical force for democratic change in the Middle East and elsewhere,” thus dumping his “new” and “greater” Middle East plans as well as regime change schemes for the region to the dust pins of history at a high cost for Arab and American lives and billions of wasted dollars of U.S. tax payers…

Post-election 2006: “Changes in course” and other post-election delusions
Larry Chin, Online Journal
Following what appeared to be an election landslide that put the Democrats in control of both houses of the US Congress, America’s Democratic Party faithful are euphoric, and insanely optimistic about a Democratic “house cleaning” that will not only bring down the “now-repudiated” Bush administration, but stop the war in Iraq, “restore oversight and ethics,” and “end corruption.” Put down the champagne, stop the hysterical laughter, and wake up: none of it will happen. On all of the most urgent matters facing the world, there will be no salvation, no real “change of course,” no criminal proceedings against the most openly criminal administration in US (and perhaps world) history. There will be no end to the war. The “9/11 war on terrorism” will not only continue, but also intensify and expand under “new management,” from a “bipartisan consensus” in Washington. Between a Bush White House (that hasn’t gone anywhere) and a compliant Democratic Congress, we simply return to the good old days, circa the George H.W. Bush era — in more ways than one…

The Zarqawi Affair, Part 10 of 23
B. J. Sabri, Online Journal Contributing Writer
…As a reminder, for a manipulation to be successful in a post-9/11 ideologically charged environment, Zionist strategists follow a well-experimented intellectual ruse: lead (mislead) the reader via endless repetitions of commonplace indoctrinating concepts without providing any proof except pre-packaged opinions and unsubstantiated reports that most readers lack the necessary tools to investigate let alone verify. This is a cunning practice: it re-recycles previously circulated propaganda themes as verified, settled, and accepted “facts.” Example: once the Bush Administration spread the rumor that Iraq threatened the world with weapons of mass destruction, Zionist think tanks and imperialist media kept repeating that rumor as if it were a solid reality. Method: a manipulation expert (thinker) transforms those themes into false-facts by the application of what I call, the Principle of Past Thresholds (Colin Powell used this method in his U.N. deceptive presentation in February 2003.) Details: the manipulator applies two processes: mental and psychological, whereby an individual would be inclined to accept re-cycled propaganda themes as “facts” requiring no further verification…

An Iraq war resister who fled to Canada rather than return to the battlefield has gone into hiding again, a day after turning himself in to the military.
Army Private Kyle Snyder says he had a deal with the military that he would be discharged once he turned himself in. Instead, military officials ordered him back to his original unit where his outcome would be decided.
Kyle Snyder. Fled to Canada in April 2005 while on leave from the war in Iraq. He recently returned to the US to turn himself in to the military.
