Bunker buster bombs containing depleted uranium warheads used by Israel against civilian targets in Lebanon
Dr. Doug Rokke
The delivery of at least 100 GBU 28 bunker busters bombs containing depleted uranium warheads by the United States to Israel for use against targets in Lebanon will result in additional radioactive and chemical toxic contamination with consequent adverse health and environmental effects throughout the middle east. Israeli tank gunners are also using depleted uranium tank rounds as photographs verify. Today, U.S., British, and now Israeli military personnel are using illegal uranium munitions- America’s and England’s own “dirty bombs” while U.S. Army, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Defense, and British Ministry of Defence officials deny that there are any adverse health and environmental effects as a consequence of the manufacture, testing, and/or use of uranium munitions to avoid liability for the willful and illegal dispersal of a radioactive toxic material – depleted uranium…

The trial of Saddam Hussein and the coming trials of George W. Bush and Anthony Charles Lynton Blair
Richard Marsden, The Business of Emotions
…It may take decades of political will, but Blair and Straw, Bush and the White House Iraq Group—Rove, Hughes, Matalin, Card, Wilkinson, Calio, Rice, Hadley, Libby and Gerson—who orchestrated the deaths of over half-a-million Iraqis and blighted the lives of generations to come, will be held to account for what they have done. Americans may be blind to what has been done in their name, but the rest of us are not. These people had better be very careful in their choice of countries to visit. Bush and Blair can hang Saddam Hussein, but he knows that he has won. The Americans and the British have been defeated militarily and morally in Iraq—and by men, women and children willing to die for these fragments he held together: Iraq…

Not in our name
A statement by writers, journalists and intellectuals from mid and south Iraq against the division of Iraq
BRussells Tribunal
We the undersigned, a number of Iraq’s writers, journalists and intellectuals from mid and south Iraq, we direct our statements to our people, all our fellow citizens all over Iraq. To Iraqis of all ethnic and religious identities. We feel compelled to speak up as Iraqi citizens, in defence of our homeland, it is our sacred duty to do so. We believe that the federalism law, introduced quickly and without a proper nation wide debate, is but an old scheme to destroy Iraq by dividing it. Iraq will be divided into small bickering entities to weaken it and erode the authority of its central government. This way, Iraq, with the richness of its human and natural resources will be prevented from developing into a strong nation, capable of being a significant player in the region. To prevent Iraq from becoming a regional heavy weight against the imperialist designs in the Middle East. And against the Zionist entity in Palestine, whose creation aims at preventing Arab countries from achieving their aspirations in prosperity and economical independence…

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Monday, 6 November 2006
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board, the Free Arab Voice
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a reported series of killings by US soldiers seemed to indicate a rise in the level of the Americans’ hysteria and mental imbalance. The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that during the previous night some US troops went around and knocked on local people’s houses. They then stabbed to death whoever answered the door with knives or bayonets. Seven Iraqis were killed Sunday-Monday night by the US occupation soldiers, two of them women. The correspondent said that the crimes took place in the neighborhoods of al-’Ummal and al-Qadisiyah and in the al-Jabal district. The fate of one family of four women, two men, and three children also remained obscure as they disappeared on Sunday-Monday night from their home in the middle of Hit. On the threshold of their house were found bloodstains, body scrapings and the remains of a human brain…

Gazan doctors pull shrapnel marked “Made in USA” out of Palestinian
International Solidarity Movement
Gazan doctor Mona Elfaraa reports from Al Awda hospital, Jabalya on clearly marked American-made shrapnel found in a Palestinian now in critical condition during the current Israeli attacks on northern Gaza. According to Israeli newspapers, the so-called “Operation Autumn Clouds” has left 57 Palestinians dead. From a November 6th interview with the ISM media team: “I have seen some of the shrapnel that was recovered from the previous day’s injuries, marked clearly with ‘Made in USA’. The shrapnel pieces seem unusual; our surgeons have not come across this before. Unfortunately, we do not have the time and facilities to investigate. Some of the bodies are totally burnt and have missing limbs and one them was covered with hundreds of pieces of small shrapnel…

Clarification on Voting
Kurt Nimmo
Last week I wrote here that I consider voting to be a form of treason. I need to clarify that remark. I indeed consider voting treason, that is if you vote for an incumbent or a candidate in opposition that does not represent nine eleven truth, the impeachment of the neocon-Bush-Cheney gang, or swearing to uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the latter seriously in danger of extinction. Mike Rivero provides a guide for antiwar candidates here. As a resident of New Mexico, I am not lucky enough to have a pro-peace, antiwar candidate…

Disputatious Neocons Unload on Vanity Fair
Kurt Nimmo
It’s unfair, complain the neocons. Vanity Fair promised to wait until after the election to publish their remarks critical of the Bush administration. Moreover, according to the neocons, Vanity Fair did a bit of editorial hocus-pocus, thus making the neocons out to be nearly dovish, a downright horrifying prospect for these Machiavellian warmongers. Well, not exactly dovish, but close enough to irk them. Enough to have them pile on and accuse the magazine of “dirty tricks,” according to Frank Gaffney. “I had assumed that the interview would not be published until January, and find the timing of this release of excerpts tendentious, to say the least,” gripes Eliot Cohen, the academic fount of the demented World War IV thesis who is connected at the hip with the criminal war racketeering outfits PNAC, the American Enterprise Institute, and Committee for the Liberation of Iraq—or maybe it should be called the Committee to Kill 650,000 Iraqis. “I believed in 2003 that the war was just and appropriate, and have been deeply distressed at its conduct,” Cohen tells the National Review, the neocon clearinghouse…

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE FOR ALL TO SEE
DesertPeace
Once again, the IDF (Israeli Destructive Forces) has made the world headlines. Thanks to the following Associated Press report, it is now known that they have not only been targeting civilians in Gaza, they are also aiming at marked ambulance workers. All this under the guise of being ‘humanitarian’ in their killing spree. Don’t fall for the zionist lies… open your eyes and see for yourself what has been going on here. Ignorance is no longer considered bliss… see the truth and let it set you free. It will then let Palestine be free as well.If Israel wants to be humanitarian they will end their genocidal policies against the Palestinians NOW! If the rest of the world wants to be humanitarian, they will end their silence and complicity NOW…

Iran’s “Power of Deterrence”
The display of Iran’s military capabilities is intended to deter US war plans
MICHEL CHOSSUDOVSKY, Global Research
On November 2, Iran tested three new types of land-to-sea and sea-to-sea missiles in the context of its “Great Prophet II” military exercises carried out on land in the desert, in the Persian Gulf waters, the Sea of Oman and 14 of Iran’s provinces. Western and Israeli military analysts were taken by surprise. According to Debka, the Israeli intelligence publication (5 November), several features of Iran’s military capabilities were unknown to the Pentagon: “The spectacular swarm of sophisticated missiles fired in Iran’s surprise military exercise stuns military planners in the US, Israel and Europe” …

Two TV stations closed for showing Iraqis protesting against death sentence for Saddam
Statement, Reporters Without Borders
Reporters Without Borders today condemned the Iraqi government’s decision yesterday to close down two privately-owned TV stations for “inciting violence and murder” by screening footage of protests against former President Saddam Hussein’s death sentence. The main daily newspapers have also been suspended for three days beginning yesterday under a curfew decreed prior to the verdict. “As well as the growing violence against journalists in the field, press freedom violations are also on the increase,” Reporters Without Borders said. “We fear that the Iraqi authorities are exploiting the public’s concern about the bombings and sectarian violence in order to restrict press freedom more and more. Both Iraqi and foreign journalists should be able to freely report the Iraqi people’s reactions.”…

Iraq’s healthcare system is continuing to deteriorate as not enough qualified staff or equipment is available, according to the Iraqi Medical Association (IMA). “Doctors are facing serious challenges, further exacerbated by poor resources offered by the government. The medical system is getting worse every day and [even] with all the efforts made by the Ministry of Health, the problems are serious. Unleashing the Christ Within: Last Hope for the Moribund Soul of a Nation?
Jason Miller
…What would happen if the poor and working class of the United States said “no mas” to the Corporatocracy? What if the wage slaves finally became self aware and leveraged the overwhelming strength of their numbers against their parasitic masters? Over 250 million US Americans acting in unison and embracing Christ as their leader “in absentia” would overwhelm the relative few manning the bulwarks of exploitation, imperial conquest, and obscene militarism. While it is unlikely Jesus would have advocated open revolt, it is a virtual certainty that he would have instructed his followers to minimize or end their participation in a system driven by avarice and abject cruelty. Improbable that such an evolution will transpire? Yes. Impossible? No…

In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet “Supreme Iraqi Criminal Court” presided over by American-appointed “judge” Ra’uf Rashid ‘Abd ar-Rahman handed down its expected “verdict” of “guilty” against Iraqi President Saddam Husayn in the matter of the “ad-Dujayl Case.” In ad-Dujayl in 1982, 148 local individuals were tried and convicted under Iraqi law of being part of an Iranian-backed plot to kill the president and seize power in Iraq, which was then at war with Iran. The reading of the sentence had been postponed from 10am local time to 11am and then finally to 12 noon for reasons never explained, Mafkarat al-Islam reported (…) Iraqi President Saddam Husayn, who refused to stand for the “court” before the reading of the “verdict,” responded to the death sentence by proclaiming “Allahu akbar!” [”God is greatest!”] and “ ‘Ashat al-Ummah!” [”Long live the nation!”]…

‘Disgust’ at Saddam sentence
News24, South Africa
Malaysia’s former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad on Tuesday expressed “horror and disgust” over the trial and sentencing of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to death. “Firstly a court set up by his enemies has no right to try Saddam Hussein,” said Mahathir, a member of the international committee for the defence of president Saddam Hussein. He described the Iraqi high tribunal as a “kangaroo court” set up for the sole purpose of rendering a guilty verdict. “There was no evidence that (ex-) president Saddam Hussein was involved in the killings of Shi’ites in 1982, yet the court found him guilty,” he said…
