My Friend,

Thanks be to God and thanks to you all for the militant stay I’ve once more lived in Miami recently. It’s past 1:00 a.m.Saturday, June 11. By chance, my internet line and electricity are on. I hope to spend a good night sleep in Haiti. I also know that so many of us are worrying this same night. In case that God allows me to enjoy a few hours sleep, I’ll be ready to continue serving as many brothers and sisters as possible.

HELP FOR 9 YEAR OLD FERICIA

I’ve already heard some heartbroken stories since my return to Haiti Friday afternoon, June 10, 2005. I also shared the grief of a 9 year old Haitian-American girl, Ferica Pierre, born in Miami, Florida, who counted me how her old brother, 26 year old Peter Fristor Junior Pierre, has been shot dead during the Saturday burning and massacre in Bel-Air on June 4, 2005. She is desperate. Her family also. Some parents traveled to Haiti today for the funeral services to be held this Saturday in a suburb of Port-au-Prince. I’ll report more on the funeral and this barbaric killing if I have a chance to attend the funeral services. Pierre is survived by his 52 year old mother, brothers Michael and Richard as well as already mentioned sister Fericia who all live in Miami. There are many more families who are trying to bury their beloved ones killed in the massacres at the “concentration camps”.

HOW MANY MORE?

How many more of us will be offered in the African Diaspora holocaust before the powerful international and national kidnappers return our constitutional, legitimate, elected President Jean-Bertrand Aristide?

President Thabo Mbeki and the African leaders, the Hispanic leaders, the Caricom leaders, outstanding human rights advocates and supporters in USA, France, Canada and within the whole world, AU SECOURS! (HELP)!

May God listen as He always does to the prayers of the oppressed ones! Amen.

Sincerely yours,

Gerard Jean-Juste

Dear Gerard, my brother,
My gratitude is addressed to you for your courage, your fortitude and your dedication to Freedom and Justice.

My heart is bleeding for the injustices and crimes that are committed in the name of Justice.

Why is it that institutions and people who profess to be defenders of Law, Justice and Democracy are turning a blind eye to the atrocities that are being committed in Haiti?

They know very well what is happening. Although the average citizen of the world is not aware, because the mainstream media is not reporting, fully, the daily happenings in Haiti. I suspect they have the power to muzzle the corporate press.

Just like the press in Haiti, owned by the business class only report their version of the news.

Those institutions and people are, indeed, supporting the murderous actions of an imposed government against the Haitian population.

Where will the repression against innocent people lead?

It can only nurture more anger and rebellion in a society where a small minority has all the benefits and try to crush the majority with the help of the international community.

Where are those people and institutions who were clamoring for Democracy as they destabilized the democratically elected government of Haiti? Can they honestly think that the socio-political situation is better, now, than it was before the transition?

They are now supporting a transitionÖtransition from Democracy to what system?

They are pushing an election on the majority that is demanding a return of their already elected government and leader.

Can an election for the minority bring peace and development to the country?

Can they not see that this will guarantee the continuation of the disastrous situation that prevails now?

There has never been such criminality in Haiti: Kidnappings, widespread violence and rape, indiscriminate killings and massacres are now daily occurrences. Are these products of the transition?

Without the participation of the majority, what would be the result of this election?

Another imposed government who will not be able to govern due to lack of credibility?

What about all those weapons held by gangsters, former military and elements of the so-called elite?

In a country where there is no money to buy food and basic necessities, who is buying those weapons?

What will happen to them after the election?

There can never be peace, harmony and development in a society where inequalities, discontent, exclusion and extreme poverty are the lot of the majority.

It seems to me that Haiti is targeted by the powers that be.

Is it because we dared lift our heads and demand freedom and Independence at a time when these concepts were not conceivable for the black man?

Are we being punished to satisfy the concept that we are unable to govern ourselves?

Our occupation is implemented by soldiers from countries that have no lessons to teach the first independent black republic in the world.

My friend and brother, we have gone from bad to worse. What will happen next?

We need help from people of good faith, but where are they?

Fraternally yours,

Paul

Dear Father Jean Juste;

Djab la di l ap manje nou, men se pa vre, se pa vre. The dark side will not win. The dawn is breaking. Not in small part due to your continued leadership and great faith. Thank you.

The vultures and thieves, dressed up as “policemen” and “civil society group 184" with the ever so “civilized” governments of France/Canada/US have taken over Haiti under Bush’s regime change.

The carnage and outright destruction and reversal of a poor nations small achievements is unbelievable. The U.S. Marines replaced Haitian schools with military barracks and prisons; allowed the prisons to be emptied and criminals unleashed on the populace while giving the wealthy minority three years of tax breaks! All that Haitians have paid for in hard work, talent and in blood to do to improve their people’s life and conditions are being reversed by this world’s great “democracy” adherents. (See, We Will Not Forget –
The Achievements of Lavalas in Haiti www.margueritelaurent.com/pressclips/lavalasachievements.html

Yesterday, a UN contingent in Haiti simply ran their tanks over the people’s houses to cut a road for themselves, leaving more already impoverished grief stricken people in Cite Soleil homeless and refugees in their own homeland. There are reports that U.N. tanks also killed four marketwomen by simply driving their tanks on top of them – this is U.S./Canadian/French “justice” for Black men and women who refuse to kneel or be cowed by their guns, racism and barbarism. The world remains silent. The corporate press has no room for telling the truth. Raises no mirror for Roger Noreiga, Condi Rice, Bush, Jr., Paul Martin, Chirac, et al to see their handy works in Haiti. But, the world is slowly awakening, even the paralyzed sectors within the non-criminal-mined bourgeoisie in Haiti are beginning to understand that this defacto Western protectorate over Haiti cannot be allowed to be officialized through these upcoming fraudulent elections. They are joining the masses in Haiti against the Coup D’etat forces and starting to add their voice, express the humanity of a people rendered inhuman the better to be destroyed by U.N. tanks bringing us the peace and stability of the cemetery.

This movement towards joining the people of Haiti cannot be stopped. From our work to mobilize International solidarity and the Free Haiti Movement, we know this to be the truth even though it is not represented in the corporate press. Haitians from all the classes are LOOKING OUTWARDS TOGETHER. The people of Haiti, we say, must be part of any equation towards democracy. Even our enemies know this now.

We hear your call for people of faith to speak-up, Fr. Jean-Juste. We feel you. For, HLLN just finished putting up the funeral pictures for Sanel Joseph on our website:
www.margueritelaurent.com/solidarityday/pictures/sanel_funeral_01.html

(See, for instance, the incinerated cadaver of a Haitian marketwoman with her child still wrapped-up in her embrace from the firebombing at the Ox head market
www.margueritelaurent.com/solidarityday/pictures/fire_tetbef_07.html

All of Haiti has become a crematory with the UN as the occupying force, officializing the rule-by-force by carrying on their assigned Hitler-like tasks.

We know, Father Jean-Juste that you have presided over too many funerals. It’s a terrible work this work-of-faith-and-love you do Father Jean Juste. For, we imagine there’s no room in a simple human body to absorb all the pictures and images of our dead…over 10,000 since the Coup D’etat. But debt, dependency and the foreign domination over Haiti that these Coup Díetat maintain, that this current U.S./Canada/France-led defacto protectorate is managing, these foreign violence blamed constantly by twisted lies on “Haitian-infighting” seems to satisfy some evil need of our oppressors, seems to be our crucifixion to bear, the white burden, Haiti, as an Black nation, must carry for stopping European chattel slavery in the world.

There is, in fact, no room in the human soul for the incredible suffering visited on Haiti’s poor by the Western powers since our independence.
But Dessaline’s descendants shall somehow enfold it all in our bellies, tie it up like the old African captives did and make a way out of no way to regurgitate it back by reaching for love, justice and liberty to reign in the world. The great liberating Haitian spirit being collectively extended by the people of Cite Soleil, Bel Air, Milot, Cap Haitien, Ti Goive, and throughout Haiti, every waking moment since this Coup D’etat, cannot be buried, cannot be shot, cannot be burned. To paraphrase something the great Frederick Douglas once said: Haiti’s Star will not go out like this. The great powers are playing themselves out. Kenbe fÚ Fr. Jean-Juste, the dark-side will not win. We shall overcome.

There’s no time to waste. All the nationalities are down there in Haiti, in the form of UN troops, quietly liquidating young Black brothers who will not accept the recolonization of Haiti and return of the bloody Haitian bourgeiosie and army back to power.

Even after death, our indignities and sufferings don’t stop, because their families can’t afford to bury them and their bodies are just dumped in mass graves, left to rot in the streets or morgue: www.margueritelaurent.com/solidarityday/pictures/orel_01.html
