(TMPress International – New York – January 04, 2007) – Obama … Mr. Hope One Day … and Mr. Compromise the Other … Obama has some very bad negative numbers and somebody needs to tell the media … who’s rock idol worship over Mr. Obama has reached get a room levels. Just look at the ads above for Obama and Edwards. One is about me-me-me … the other is about you. Obama’s high negatives are up to 51%, even after the pass he’s been given by the press.

   Clinton is at 50%, but that’s after 15 years of scrutiny and the worst coverage of the primary season. Edwards, who has been virtually ignored by the press for months, has the lowest negatives of the top three Demsocrats.

   Maybe it’s because `Mr. Hope’ is now being endorsed by – wait for it – lobbyists. A former South Carolina governor who now runs a lobbying and consulting firm threw his support behind this Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama on Wednesday, despite the Illinois Senator’s constant criticism of lobbyists, big money and special interest groups.

   Hodges was also named co-chairman of Obama’s national campaign. A lobbyist as a national co-chair. Stunning … almost as shocking as Obama going after Gore, a story broke online, or Obama’s `trial lawyer’ line he levied against Edwards even though he voted with Lieberman on CAFA, and Iraq War funds or Obama’s supposed buying ads from Drudge.

   But if Obama’s independent strategy sounds familiar … it should … as eriposte over at The Left Coaster says, It’s Lieberman Democratic politics 101.

   The truth is always the best offense, which has been laid out for months. But you shouldn’t just take any old word for it, because many others are writing similar reviews of Mr. Obama now, too.

   Read Digby, Matt Stoller, Eriposte, Turkana, Molly Ivors and Markos … there are several good Democratic candidates who would make a fine president. Obama just isn’t one of them. None of them will be perfect, for sure, but if you care anything about the progressive agenda you should do more research, because you … the electorate … are quite simply ignoring the facts.

  Mr. Obama has no plan, no agenda, no experience in national politics besides the last two years and he IS NOT Bobby Kennedy or Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. – drop the comparisons in the national media and you will see his great `vision of HOPE’ oratory as direct rhetorical plagiarism of Kennedy and King for his `own political purposes.’

   Factually … he has out-spent Clinton and Edwards to date … and in Iowa by more than 4-6 million USD and that is large donor money, corporate and American media elitist cash that have `somehow anointed him as the second coming’ … baloney … tell that to the Latin American electorate and the farm workers he teamed up against with major immigration bills … one to stop them from working seasonally and the other to `build a fence along our southern border.’

   Talk about Mr. Compromise … if agreeing and co-sponsoring legislation with Senator Tom Coburn (R) – Okla. on immigration and on the environment and Mr. Lieberman on Iraq War Funding and the fake `War on Terror’ … then Mr. Obama is a phony – plain and simple.

   He is full-o-fluff, himself and his `dream demagoguery’ and pseudo-kingmanship of the oppressed finally rising to take the rightful place of Rev. Jackson, Andrew Young, Charlie Rangel and yes even Rev. Al Sharpton – who all may in the end be forced to endorse `this man of the hour (a spoiled privately schooled multi-racial rich kid) who can only be described as `somehow claiming the throne in their name.’ In reality he is a sell-out to K Street, just as much as Tom Delay was.

   The very same K Street Project that went forward as effort by the Republican Party (GOP) to pressure Washington lobbying firms to hire Republicans in top positions, and to reward loyal GOP lobbyists with access to influential officials.

   It was launched in 1995 by Republican strategist Grover Norquist and then-House majority whip Tom DeLay … and it has been criticized as being part of a `coziness’ between the GOP and large corporations, which has allowed big business to rewrite government regulations affecting their own industries and in some cases … `Dick Cheney’s own private energy task force.’ Now it is poised `to probably marry the likes of Obama or perhaps now to a lesser degree Hillary in a new bridal gown.’

   Senator Obama … `Mr. Hope’ – tell that to a migrant farm worker who even dares `having the Senator’s so-called `Audacity of Hope’ for him or herself `to become a citizen and live in that great `Obama Unified America.’
