Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michio Kaku
Saturday, April 30, 1-9 p.m.
Musicians Union Hall (322 W. 48th St)
New York City
Activists from all over the world will be coming to New York for this annual space organizing conference that marks the 13th anniversary of the Global Network. A key obstacle to global disarmament is U.S. determination to move the arms race into space. With U.S. efforts to create "full spectrum dominance" other nations are saying that they must maintain their existing nuclear forces, or develop new nuclear arsenals, as a deterrent to U.S. plans for "control and domination" via space technology. Hear what activists around the world are doing to build the movement to keep space for peace.
On May 1 the Global Network will join the major international disarmament rally planned by Abolition 2000 in Central Park.
Please join with us on April 30. This event will be cosponsored by Abolition 2000.
Registration is required. The conference brochure can be downloaded from our web site:
