Dear Friends
After the very lively and successful protest at Parliament Square last night attended by over 1500 supporters, we would like to ask you to put the maximum effort into the National Demonstration this Saturday. We need to do everything we can to mobilize for this very important event at a time when the British Government is ignoring the calls from the victims of Israeli War Crimes in Palestine and Lebanon. Please come along on Saturday to protest at this ongoing barbarity and volunteer for the PSC.
Please make sure you check the PSC website regularly as protests will be taking place around the UK in the next week. There are events planned in: Wales, Scotland, Sheffield, Manchester, Hull, Norwich, Bristol, Lancaster, Newcastle, Bristol and many more. Watch this space!

We would like to ask members to download leaflets for this demonstration from the PSC website and distribute them locally.

We also would like to ask for members to volunteer at the demonstration: we need stewards, and help with leafleting and placards, selling merchandise and at the stalls etc..

CRISIS IN GAZA – ONGOING ACTIONS AND NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION
Thank you everybody’s support in the last few weeks, for organizing and taking part in protests and taking action around the country. As well as for the very generous response to our call for the Crisis fund. We would like to ask you to show your support with the victims of Israeli attacks all week by wearing badges, t-shirts, fly the flag and so on. Please continue to raise the issue with your local media and your MPs and the Foreign Office, phone, write, email and fax them to protest at the UK’s failure to intervene in the massacre of civilians in Palestine and Lebanon.
Make sure you can come and join us at the National Demonstration next Saturday in London to volunteer for the PSC.

we ask you to send a tealight/candle to Foreign Minister Margaret Beckett now, asking her to forward it to the people of Gaza. She has refused to condemn the Israeli attack against Gaza – maybe thousands of tealights and candles will make her see the light.

3/ Please contact and ask to see you MP over the summer in your constituency. Ideally we should be having vigils and pickets outside every MPs surgery over the coming weeks to highlight the desperate situation in Palestine.

PSC urgently need funds to respond appropriately during this current emergency. We want to do media adverts etc. We urge you to have collections at local meetings, mosques, churches and other places of worship and help the PSC to campaign effectively during such emergencies. Arsenal supporting Israeli Apartheid - Action on July 22nd
Arsenal Football Club has signed a sponsorship deal to promote Israel as a tourist destination at their new Emirates stadium from next season. The £350,000 agreement makes Israel Arsenal’s “official and exclusive travel destination.”
If you are interested in joining us to protest at this decision there will be a leafleting session on July the 22nd at the stadium in Highbury at the first Arsenal match of the new season.

Israel’s bloody carnage.
Whilst Israel continues its onslaught against Gaza and Lebanon, disregards UN resolutions and continues its apartheid policies and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians we cannot allow them the luxury of visiting our country without being held to account.
By disregarding the Human Rights of those around them they have forfeited the right to engage with the rest of the world in sport, culture, academia or trade.
