A first excellent preemptive version of a 9/11 Commission Report critique is now up online (though rather unobtrusively) in the Downloads section of http://911citizenswatch.org (Direct link: http://tinyurl.com/5qd7t)

It is based on all the earlier 9/11 committee reports, which as we saw constituted 90% of the final draft. The following is their lead blurb, but the entire doc covers much, much more than that.

John Judge at http://911citizenswatch.org is now starting to compile all the 9/11 Report's omissions, contradictions, bald face lies, etc. in preparation for The Official 9/11 Omission Report (to be released publicly on August 27).

All sourced contributions to this volume would be warmly welcomed. Please only use mainstream or official sources to document your points and the location of the disputed or contradicted statements in the official report (if such exist).

- WEST COAST 7/26/04 "Unanswered Questions"/"INSIDE JOB" PRESS CONFERENCE

On July 26, 9/11truth.org board member Byron Belitsos convened a press conference at San Francisco's Commonwealth Club, under the headline: "Unanswered Questions Remain: Critics Respond to 9/11 Commissionís Final Report". Presenters included bestselling investigative journalist Jim Marrs, author of the recently released comprehensive account of 9/11 entitled Inside Job: Unmasking the 9/11 Conspiracies and Ralph Schoenman, author of numerous books on foreign policy and one of the Bay Areaís most distinguished political journalist-activists. These two researchers, offering critical perspectives from different parts of the political spectrum, along with other prominent independent 9/11 researchers, presented an alternative view to the findings of the 9/11 Commission and the current picture of 9/11 that dominates the mainstream news media. Also speaking at the press conference was Dennis Mitrzyk, a write-in candidate for Congress for congressional district 14, and Green Party candidate for Congress in the 18th congressional district Ray Grock-Gruenlich. Renowned local researcher Don Paul, author of 9/11: Facing Our Fascist State also offered an enlightening statement and remarks. .Although the press turnout was spotty the room was energized by several dozen activists who were either hip to 9/11 or anxious to learn more. Besides local reporters, the event was covered on a regional news wire service and an audiotape of highlights will soon be available in the Resources section of 911truth.org

- DANCES WITH DISGRUNTLED DEMOCRATS: THE BOSTON WEEK THAT WAS

Boston's many alternative events before and during the DNC were alive with the sound of 9/11 and a lot of visuals as well (three "Expose the 9/11 Cover-up" signs were blatantly visible across the Boston Globe's front page protest photo that ran on Monday the 26th). Afterwards we repaired to the Progressive Democrats of America convention in Roxbury on Thursday where we passed on the 9/11 Peace & Justice endorsement packages and copies of Griffin's The New Pearl Harbor into the welcoming hands of Howard Dean, Tom Hayden, Jim Zogby of the Arab American Institute, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Congressman John Conyers, and Victor Navasky, publisher of The Nation.

The main seed work there though was papering the entire 400+ audience of angry anti-war Dems who were being told to shut up by the Kerry camp because peace talk was "off message". The lfyer we passed around was

1. "THE ROOT OF COUNTLESS EVILS"
Survey the military-industrial background (and payoff) of September 11th and we can clearly see (and teach) a brief history of our current repression, endless war and fiscal ruin. Their 9/11 lies are still the neocons' principal source of war-making/rights-taking/vote-raking power. Before they can exploit 9/11 any more we must blow these lies up in their hands. They'll be left politically maimed and in deep legal jeopardy.

2. THE BIG PICTURE PERSPECTIVE
There is a strong case that "our" main objective in Iraq was not simply oil or support for Sharon. It was chiefly to replace the Soviet "Evil Empire" with an even scarier foe so the spiraling defense budget would never ever be questioned again. Against that backdrop, the clumsiness, torture and ruthless brutality of our tactics and occupation begin to make sense. In less than a year we have outraged over a billion Muslims and created a million new suicidal enemies. (No wonder Bush/Cheney praised Rumsfeld as a "superb" Defense Secretary. In less than a thousand days he ensured another generation of public fear and military-industrial rule.) A simple Kerry victory will not allay this hate or threat. To apologize to Muslim lands and reclaim the respect of the world we must drag the entire White House crew down the street in chains and that can only be achieved with 9/11 truth.

3. THE HIGH GROUND ADVANTAGE
The 9/11 families have already asked all the hardest questions themselves. Simply bringing these explosive queries to public attention by loudly demanding a response is both radically educational and impossible to fault. By aligning ourselves with the victim families' cause, we are not going negative or campaigning "against" anything. We are simply standing up for accountability and truth.

4. THE PASSIVE POPULIST FACTOR
There are tens of millions of anti-war activists, civil libertarians and abandoned progressives from Dean-world, Kucinichville & moveon.org who heartily loathe Bush but are also unmoved by Kerry's "centrist" pro-war corporatist alternative. They will doubtless vote for Kerry, but not fervently work for him, and their formidable talents and energies will remain untapped. We could draw upon that reservoir with a call to expose and disable the neocon machine well before the election with 9/11 truth.

5. THE SILENT SHAME PERPLEX
Even though over 70% of Americans currently believe the Warren Commission report on JFK's death was a total whitewash, we have yet to rise up and demand a true accounting. Millions more also know we've been deceived by the government (and media) re Pearl Harbor, Iran-Contra, the MLK assassination, the War on Drugs, etc. The fact so many of our people now resignedly live with such lies both emboldens our corrupt rulers and eats away at our democratic self-respect. It is not unpatriotic to believe Americans can be as brave as Serbs, Czechs or Filipinos and finally say "Enough!" and take our country back.

6. THE SCORNED CITIZEN BACKLASH
The quickest way to turn the nation against war, fear and repression is by shredding their empowering myths. In this era that means exposing the reign of deception that began with the official 9/11 story and hasn't stopped since. We now know the trail of deceit that led us into Iraq. We only have to follow it further back in time to the lies still enshrouding 9/11. Once these lies are exposed, even soccer moms and NASCAR dads will stand up and cry out for truth.

7. A GENTLE LEARNING CURVE
The essential lore of the 9/11 plot can all be imbibed in a single day. You only have to read a half dozen key articles, "The New Pearl Harbor" by theologian David Ray Griffin, and the 200+ still unanswered questions from the 9/11 Commission's Family Steering Committee.
